DESCRIPTION
Clethodim 25% EC is a selective post-emergent herbicide primarily used to control annual and perennial grass weeds in a variety of broadleaf crops such as soybeans, cotton, pulses, vegetables, and oilseeds. It belongs to the cyclohexanedione chemical group and works by inhibiting the ACCase enzyme (Acetyl-CoA Carboxylase), which is essential for fatty acid synthesis in grasses. Clethodim is absorbed quickly through the foliage and translocated throughout the plant, leading to the gradual death of the grassy weeds without affecting broadleaf crops. Its Emulsifiable Concentrate (EC) formulation ensures easy mixing and effective coverage.
